Michelle Duppong: Hope in the Depths of Suffering
- Life of Servant of God Michelle Duppong
- Eucharist-centered missionary witness
- Modern model of holiness, love & joy in Christ through suffering
- Redemptive suffering and trust in God's plans
- Moving, inspiring and faithful reading
Servant of God Michelle Duppong lived an outwardly ordinary life that burned with extraordinary love for God.
As a missionary formed through the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, Michelle devoted herself to building friendships, inviting others to Mass, and quietly fostering a Eucharist-centered culture wherever she was sent. From North Dakota to Rome, her evangelization was personal, joyful, and relentlessly focused on Jesus Christ.
When illness entered her life, it did not interrupt her mission but transformed it. In what her spiritual director described as a ātwelve-month Holy Week,ā Michelle united her suffering to Christ, radiating peace, trust, and hope even as her body weakened. Friends, caregivers, and visitors left her presence consoled, often remarking that they encountered Christ through her.
Since her death in 2015, reports of graces received through Michelleās intercession have continued to grow, most often marked by profound peace and surrender to Godās will. Pilgrims visit her grave and family farm, and the Church has formally opened her cause for canonization, recognizing her reputation for holiness.
Through reflections, stories, and Michelleās own words drawn from her talks and writings, this book invites readers to discover sanctity in everyday life, trust God in the present moment, embrace redemptive suffering, and lead others gently to Christ.
Ā Michelle Duppongās life offers a credible, hope-filled witness that holiness is possible now, here, and for all. A beautiful and inspiring biography for those who enjoy the lives of the saints, for youth, and for all of us who need hope and encouragement to trust in God's perfect plans.
